TENA Services – better care at a lower total cost

This study was carried out in a large nursing home group in Spain, and the resulting report was presented officially at the SEMER (nursing home doctors) and SEFAR (public pharmacists) congresses in 2006 and is validated by doctor D. Alvaro Cuenllas, Medical Doctor of the Ballesol group.
The key findings of the study were that working with TENA Services resulted in:
• Pads per patient per day falling from an average of 4.86 with competitor
products to 3.17 with TENA
• The total cost of products falling by over 22%
• Skin breakdown falling from 21% with competitor product to 0% with TENA
• Leakages being reduced from 25% to 10.6%
