December 2011 - ERIC supports 'Wee need the loo' campaign
ERIC, (Education and Resources for Improving Childhood Continence) the childrens charity is supporting the Wee Need the Loo campaign which aims to make it a legal requirement for Local Authorities to provide public toilets.
The law currently allows, but does not compel Local Authorities to provide toilets. In the last 10 years, 40% of public toilets have closed. Many people lead restricted lives because they cannot rely on access to a public toilet in the places and at the times required.
