Dry Overactive Bladder (dry OAB)
Dry overactive bladder is when the bladder contracts strongly and the muscles surrounding the urethra (the tube that takes urine away from the bladder) are not able to stop urine passing.
Dry overactive bladder is also referred to as an overactive bladder, irritable bladder, urge urinary incontinence or wet overactive bladder (wet OAB).
Both underactive bladder and overactive bladder fall under the term ‘bladder dysfunction’.
