Be a better carer by taking care of yourself
Caring for a family member or friend can be deeply rewarding but also very demanding.
Whilst there may be no limit to the care you want to give your loved one, it is important to look after yourself as well. If you don’t take time out for yourself and look after your own needs you will find that the job of caring becomes harder and more tiring, and eventually the very person you are caring for will suffer too.
So don’t deprive yourself of the time and care you need because looking after yourself is all part of being a good carer.
