TENA are thrilled and honoured to announce that we are working with Jamie Gane, a 24 year old adaptive athlete with a below-knee amputation from Basingstoke, Hampshire.
When he was just nine years old, whilst on a family holiday in Florida, Jamie collapsed and with severe pain in his feet. After undergoing various therapies, that subsequently did not work and a scheduled operation that failed. This left Jamie with no feeling from the waist down, that ultimately led to incontinence. Wheel chair bound for most of his teenage and young adult life, Jamie fought to have an operation to have his lower right leg amputated. Eventually in 2016 he was successful in his attempt and since has gone on to become a truly inspirational athlete for those who have disability and incontinence Jamie now has set his sights on the 2024 Paralympic games.
